At Matern Metal Works, Inc. it has always been our goal to make sure our customers are provided with high quality custom metal products that are exactly the way you want them.  Not only do we want your product to be correct, we also want to be sure that it does the job it is intended to do, that it is safe and reliable, and that it looks good. 

Let us introduce ourselves.  Matern Metal Works, Inc. began in 1982 under the name of Center Sheet Metal, Inc.  In 1987 our name was changed to Matern Metal Works, Inc. but in over 26 years of business, our original vision of serving the customer with premier quality custom metal work has never changed.  It has been our continuing goal to provide you with a highly qualified, competent and reliable metal shop offering the finest quality of work at all times, whether day or night, at a fair price.  Our shop is fully insured and our employees are covered by state worker’s compensation.  Our skilled craftsmen are trained in all phases of metal work and have completed extensive welding classes.

In our continuing effort to serve our customers, we moved into a larger, more convenient and efficient space in 2006, only to be flooded out in 2007.  However we are back, stronger than before, now offering better production services with our new AKS precision plasma cutting system utilizing an 8’ x 12’ cutting table.

Matern Metal Works, Inc. specializes in industrial and commercial custom metal design, fabrication, and installation.  We are prepared to design a project for you or fabricate to your specifications; accommodate your sawing, punching, rolling, production, welding (including portable) and maintenance needs; provide for your exhaust system and dust collection needs; and offer a variety of sheet, tube, angle, flat bar and other items for your purchase.  Our work has been extensive in stainless steel, copper, aluminum, galvanized, hot roll, cold roll, and PVC as well as more exotic metals and has covered a range from light-weight and intricate to structural type projects.  A few examples of our work include kitchen hoods, countertops, cabinets, racks, stands, guards, tanks, platforms, stairs, railings, testing machines, rebuilding of conveyors and industrial equipment, polishing booths and more.  Projects have extended from fabricating and installing a 12’ stainless steel letter A to building a water table for the Children’s Museum of Cleveland.
